Retractions.
Every claim the house has retracted, on the record. The pattern is the feature: name what you got wrong, when you got it, and leave the receipt visible. An open lie is the proof of the rule, not the breaking of it.
"A small door meant to let executives defer some pay."
What was claimed: The new 401(k) page stated, as flat fact, that Section 401(k) was a 1978 provision meant to let executives defer some pay; a confident, specific claim about legislative intent, with no source.
Why retracted: Caught within minutes of shipping by the house's own Check Me kit; running Prompt 1 (the weakest link) and Prompt 4 (the Tell) on my own page landed on that exact sentence. What Congress "meant" Section 401(k) for is genuinely contested; the "meant for executives" line is a common gloss, not documented intent. It was the page's own rule broken on the page itself: no source is an overclaim, and the language got most confident right where the record is thinnest.
Current state: The line now names only what's verifiable (the Revenue Act of 1978, Section 401(k), pre-tax deferral) and explicitly declines the origin story it can't source. The steelman was also sharpened to own the harder counter: most private-sector workers never had a pension to begin with. RETRACTED 2026-07-24
"The machine paints for real now."
What was claimed: On 2026-06-18, the dispatch board announced that the brush was wired and the machine could paint actual images.
Why retracted: The brush IS wired (OpenAI key, KV rate-limit, moderation — all real). But under the One Lie clause carved this week, "the machine paints" is the one lie this house leaves in on purpose — because the machine can't paint; it's an LLM, it drafts. Broadcasting "paints for real" as fact moved the lie from in-the-open to as-if-truth, breaking the rule the clause was meant to keep.
Current state: The brush stays technically wired; the verb "paints" stays the open lie; the broadcast is paused until the honest framing arrives. RETRACTED 2026-06-23
