Mad about the fraud; you should be mad only-humans-score wasn't built yet™
Everyone's chasing the wrong thing. The whole country is furious about the fraud; the deepfakes, the scams, the bots, the confident machine lies flooding every feed; and the fury is aimed at the flood. Aim it one step back. The real scandal isn't that the fraud exists; it's that the fix wasn't built. A machine that generates plausible falsehood at scale was always coming (the Tell; it sounds surest when it's most wrong); what was missing was the rig that lets humans catch it and score it (Spot the Lie, the human-scoring the labs actually need). Don't rage at the water; rage that nobody built the dam, for years, while everyone could see the river rising (the sad part; everyone already knew). The anger is real and earned; it's just pointed at the symptom. Point it at the gap: only humans can score, and we didn't build it yet. That's the thing worth being mad about; and building it is the only honest place for the mad to go. (His coin; machine's read, refine to his.)
