The audio tour · the bones speak
Listen to the whole museum.
Press play, set the phone down, and the house reads itself to you — room after room, all the way through. It keeps your screen awake so it can keep going.
How it works. It reads this page aloud, then moves to the next room on its own and keeps going through the whole table of contents below. Stop any time with the 🎧 button at the bottom-left of every page. It runs on your device's own voice — nothing is recorded, nothing leaves your phone. It holds your screen awake so it can keep reading when you set the phone down. One honest catch: if you lock the screen yourself, most phones pause the voice until you wake it again — that's the browser's limit, not a choice. (If your phone stays silent, tap play once more — phones only allow sound after a tap.)
This is the start of the audio-only way through — the curator's "swim version," the most accessible door in the house. The paint is secondary; the gold is the words, and the words can be carried by ear.
