The Aspirational Ledger · aspirational

I got you.

These are the things this house would build the day the money and the legal entity exist. They are written down here so the intent is on the record — but to be clear, and per the one rule: none of these collect money yet, and no charity is being claimed or run. Each one names the funding mechanism it still needs. Dreams, costed honestly. The enemy's gate is bureaucracy; the unit we solve for is n = 1 — one real person, helped.

🤝 The I-Got-You Fund

A no-shame mutual-aid pool: when a real person needs a small, specific thing — gas to the interview, a $50 bill that breaks the week — someone who has it covers it. Better questions, not no questions: enough to keep it honest and not enable harm, never enough to humiliate.

Funding mechanism needed: a registered nonprofit/fiscal sponsor + a real payments rail + a tiny review process. Until then: intent only.

🍔 Spot $20 (food today)

EBT ran out, it's the 28th, and someone needs to eat tonight — not next month. Spot $20 is exactly that: a fast, dignified, one-tap "here's a meal" when the gap is today. Hunger doesn't schedule itself around benefit cycles.

Funding mechanism needed: an entity to hold/disburse funds + fraud guardrails + a partner for instant delivery. Today: a promise, not a pipeline.

👟 Silver Sneakers for All

Free movement shouldn't be gated to one insurance plan. Open the gym, the lane, the class to everyone who wants to move — because the cheapest medicine we have is a person who keeps showing up. (See the Pool Wing for what that looks like.)

Funding mechanism needed: facility partnerships + sponsorship to cover access. For now: the idea, and the open door we wish existed.

🏊 Fill the pools back up

Better cities, better mental health — more floors, more pools. A neighborhood with an open pool and a staffed rec floor is a neighborhood with somewhere to be, someone to see, and a reason to leave the house. (The Dignity Wing has the receipts on why connection is care.) Put up more floors. Fill the pools.

Funding mechanism needed: this is civic budget, not an app — so it's advocacy: vote, show up, fund parks & rec. The lever is public, and it's yours.

🏛️ Make government actually work

Run the institution like the institution it's supposed to be: fast, legible, accountable — measured by whether the one person in front of it got helped, not by the process surviving. The enemy's gate is bureaucracy. The fix isn't less government; it's government that solves for n = 1.

Funding mechanism needed: none — this is a standard, not a wallet. It's the lens we'd hold every program above to.
Why it says "aspirational" everywhere. Because the one rule is no lying. A funding page that took money without a registered entity, real guardrails, and the legal docs would be a lie — and possibly a scam, the exact thing the Dignity Wing warns about. So this stays a costed dream until the curator stands up a real entity. When that day comes, every dollar gets a receipt. Until then: the intent is on the record, and I got you means I'm building toward it — honestly.
