Solve for the actual need

Opinion, and lived.
If your adult child is struggling, do not tell them to suck it up. Listen. Help. Meet the actual need of the actual human in front of you. Get them healthy — push them toward the sport, the dance, the court, the pool, the thing that puts life back in the body. And stop signing forms and waivers of liability where care belongs. The waiver is the institution's fear of the lawsuit; it is not the meeting of the need. The same defensive crouch that makes a system document-and-disappear makes a family hand over paperwork instead of presence. Refuse it. Solve for the actual need. (The Matter Clause, brought home: solve for n=1.)
