Am I joking? Call the real number; you'd hear my tone™

The deliberate ambiguity, and the one place it resolves. Am I joking? You're my serious; and no one knows the difference except me, because text flattens a human to flat characters; the joke and the serious wear the same font (that is the whole trick of the Tell, and the fun of Spot the Lie). But the number on the front door is real; and a phone call would surprise you, because you would finally hear the tone, and the tone is where the human actually lives; the wink that means joke, the catch in the throat that means serious.
