The honest line between reach and lie — and it's the one that keeps the whole house standing. To overclaim is to assert what isn't true: the bullshit Rule 000 bans, the Tell's confident fabrication. To overstretch is to reach past your grasp on purpose — the debater's spread, ambition aiming at more than it's caught yet. He does the second, not the first, and the difference is checkable: every coin is marked "machine's read, refine to his," every number cited or held, every gap named out loud.
